Role Purpose
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator supports the Marketing and Client Engagement (MCE) team. With a solid understanding marketing fundamentals and a keen interest in green business, the role is critical in ensuring that the MCE team and in turn, Offsetters, are able to reach their objectives.
The Marketing Coordinator position is a 6-month contract with potential for renewal.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supports the Marketing and Client Engagement team with tracking earned media and Offsetters mentions.
- Executes on Offsetters' monthly newsletter including story development and formatting.
- Assists in Olympic-related marketing activities such as event execution, media releases, Offsetters' site updates and more.
- Fulfills Olympic merchandize program – carbon pins.
- Executes Cool Drive Pass program for members.
- Assists in Marketing-related activities for new Offsetters clients and partners.
- Manages Offsetters logo requests and subsequent usage by clients and partners
- Maintains up to date Offsetters' Media Centre with the latest in industry news and Offsetters' generated releases.
- Tweets, blogs and optimizes use of social media for Offsetters.
- Assists in the development of one-page client outlines and project profiles.
- Monitors sales marketing-driven initiatives such as the 2010 Travel and Accommodation Calculator.
- Captures meeting minutes on behalf of the Marketing and Client Engagement team
- Supports the Marketing and Client Engagement team as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in Marketing, Commerce or Business Administration
- Minimum 2 years experience in Marketing or Communications Coordinator role.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Track record of exceptional customer service and customer focused mindset.
- In-depth understanding of marketing principles and trends.
- Experience working in a dynamic, start-up environment.
- Proven success working independently and with a team.
- Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for making a difference and doing so in an accessible/approachable way.
Negotiable Requirements:
- Environmental sciences understanding and enthusiasm an asset.
- Experience with site content management systems is preferred
